He's BAAACk!

It's been a while, but after two years, another entry is overdue. I work longer hours now, and harder hours; my French -- deplorable to begin with -- has gotten even worse; Obama is as disappointing as I'd anticipated; and my passions for literature, music, and photography now seem more important than wasting my time in political activism. My future posts will be more apt to include reflections on the unadorned beauty of the poetry of Guillevic than of power politics , of transcendence, not over things, but within and through things . There are many ways other than direct confrontation that one can continue to work to crush the vile thing.
